I created SweatJoy because I know what long-term stress can do to a person, a body, and a family and you cannot continually pour from a cup that is never refilled.
Refilling your own cup isn't selfish, it's how you continue to serve with purpose. Through small daily moments of mindfulness, movement, nutrition, and community, you can build habits that support your well-being one step at a time.
Before building this app, I worked in first responder environments where staying calm, alert, and dependable was not optional. You pushed through. You showed up. You carried the pressure because people were counting on you.
Years later, I also learned the cost of living that way for too long. Chronic stress greatly affected my health, my energy, and the way I moved through daily life. It taught me something I will never forget: strong people still need support.
When my grandson joined the Marines, that truth became even more personal. I wanted to build something that could serve military families, first responders, high-stress professionals, caregivers, parents, and the people who quietly hold everything together. I also wanted to leave a legacy for my grandsons, something rooted in resilience, wellness, and real-life support.
