SunCoast Market Co-op is a community-owned grocery cooperative in Imperial Beach, California focused on strengthening the local food system and increasing access to healthy, fresh, and affordable food for all residents. Opened in January 2026 after years of grassroots organizing and community fundraising, the co-op offers locally sourced produce, organic and natural products, bulk foods, prepared meals, and culturally relevant items tailored to its diverse community.
Built by the people, for the people, SunCoast Market Co-op is governed democratically by its owner-members and prioritizes supporting local farmers and producers, promoting sustainability, and serving as a community hub for food education and engagement.
