Hi, my name is Bela Desai, and I am thrilled to serve as the Franchise Owner and Operating Partner for our Primrose Schools (Primrose School of Dallas at Kessler Park, Primrose School of Prestonwood, Primrose School of Park Cities, Primrose School of Klyde Warren Park, Primrose School of Frisco West, and Primrose School of Plano at Preston Meadow).
I was born and raised in Kansas City and moved to Texas to pursue my college education in nursing. While attending college, I began my journey with Primrose Schools in 2009. It was through this experience that I discovered my true passion: early childhood education. Inspired by the incredible impact of quality education during a child’s formative years, I shifted my academic focus and dedicated my career to education.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies with a concentration in Child Development, and a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Educational Leadership. In addition, I am certified in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and I hold a Texas Training Registry certification that allows me to conduct faculty training throughout the state. I am also currently pursuing my Doctorate in Education.
Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the opportunity to grow alongside Primrose, progressing through a variety of roles including Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K Teacher, Office Manager, Director of Admissions, Education Director, Executive Director, Regional Director, and now, Operating Partner. I did briefly step away to join a corporate childcare organization as an Education Consultant, where I spent a year and a half mentoring more than 50 franchise owners and directors. However, during that time, I realized my heart remained with Primrose and its commitment to authentic, inclusive, and research-informed education. Returning to the Primrose family allowed me to continue pursuing my passion for empowering children, supporting educators, and partnering with families.
Having experienced so many facets of this organization, I lead with a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed at every level. My journey has shaped my leadership style, allowing me to guide, empower, and support my teams with knowledge, mentorship, passion, and empathy. By setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of support, accountability, and teamwork, I am committed to ensuring that our schools provide the best possible experience for every family we serve.
