At the Next Best Thing we strive to provide a nurturing Christian environment that is complemented with a variety of academic experiences. We provide a consistent schedule with a wide range of teacher directed and child centered activities designed to keep the children engaged in their learning while building self-esteem and confidence. We offer a variety of learning experiences including but not limited to dramatic play, cooking, science discovery, nature exploration, large and small motor skill development, social activities, early math skills, language and literacy, music and movement, cultural exploration and independent art. We offer a thematic curriculum with a weekly letter focus as well as literature, social skill and world exploration themes guided by the Montana Early Learning Guidelines. The Next Best Thing Childcare and Preschool is licensed through the Department of Public health and human services and the State of Montana and is a participant in the Montana STARS to quality rating program. We are also a Early Head Start partner program. We are open 6:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
