Fairborn City Schools
Fairborn, Ohio is located approximately 12 miles east of Dayton, and our schools are located throughout the community, serving as hubs of collaboration, community, and connection. The Fairborn City School District primarily serves students in Fairborn, Bath Township, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base, with a student population of just over 4,200. The City of Fairborn has an estimated 33,780 residents that come to us from all around the state, country, and world.
We are a diverse, close-knit, and innovative learning community. We value the qualities and traits the individual student brings to the classroom while encouraging them to explore their leadership roles in our community. This wide array of experiences and identities converges with our innovative and forward-thinking teaching practices to create a learning community that believes in respectful collaboration, academic rigor, and high personal expectations. The Fairborn City School District received 4 out of 5 stars on the Ohio Department of Education report card for our commitment to academic excellence!
As our mission states, our faculty, staff, administration, and students are relentless in our pursuit of personal and academic excellence. Ultimately, that pursuit will set our students up for success in whatever path they choose.
With the generous donation of Fairborn graduate, Richard Helms, the Fairborn City School District purchased land on Commerce Center Blvd. to build a new high school with state-of-the-art academic, performing arts, and athletic facilities. The Fairborn community supported the passage of multiple bond issues to construct new educational facilities PreK-12 for the community. The new Fairborn Middle School will finalize the project and open in the Fall of 2027. These facilities are the best in the Miami Valley and support the educational aspirations and dreams for our students. We are grateful for the support of our community!
Fairborn Primary School, is home to our youngest Skyhawks in grades PreK-2. Fairborn Intermediate School, is home to students in grades 3-5. Baker Middle School, houses grades 6-8. Finally, our students in grades 9-12 attend Fairborn High School.
Our schools and community have a rich history. Our ability to look ahead, yet preserve the best aspects of our past, sets Fairborn apart from other communities. We continue to blaze new trails as we reach forward to a bright future and a limitless horizon.
